Privately correct, publicly praise

Publicly praise whenever possible, even for seemingly obvious or trivial things.

When things go wrong, you should publicly take responsibility, but you will still need to correct the issue internally on your team. You do that privately.

Calling out a team member in a meeting, on a team call, or otherwise in public will not only make that person frustrated with you, but it will make everyone else very guarded. This will slow your team down and dampen your results.

On the other hand, you should publicly praise whenever possible, even for seemingly obvious or trivial things. Everyone likes being publicly praised for a job well done, so they will feel good when recognized and they will look for opportunities to earn that public praise.
